!! Important Note: Academic Program Switch Policy !!

Please read the following academic implications carefully before submitting:

  • A student is permitted to switch their degree program ONLY ONCE during their entire tenure in the IIT Madras BS Degree Programme.
  • Once this program switch is approved and submitted, it is permanent and you CANNOT revert back to BS in Data Science and Applications.
  • You will be required to continue with BS in Management and Data Science until degree completion or exit.
  • Your 32 completed Foundation credits will be mapped to the MDS curriculum. Subsequent diploma courses and checkpoints must strictly satisfy the Management and Data Science curriculum.

Because program switching is an irrevocable one-time decision, IIT Madras requires every applicant to upload a handwritten and signed undertaking. This document will be verified by the Academic Operations Team.

Please copy the declaration below onto a clean white sheet of paper in your own handwriting, sign and date it, and upload:

"I, Kamlesh Mundra (Roll No: 25f3003744), request to switch my program from BS in Data Science and Applications to BS in Management and Data Science.

I confirm that I understand this program switch is permitted ONLY ONCE during my entire tenure in the IIT Madras BS Degree Programme. I understand this action is permanent and cannot be revoked or reversed back to Data Science. I undertake to continue with the BS in Management and Data Science program until I graduate or exit.
